Together with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, Goal Group hosted leading investment and superannuation fund managers at a Securities Class Actions discussion lunch in Sydney last week.
Michael Donelly, Principal Lawyer at Maurice Blackburn, presented the key issues currently impacting institutional investors, and several of our clients shared their experience of participating in the recoveries process.
This prompted a lively discussion concerning recent changes in the litigation funding environment in Australia, as well as the governance and oversight arrangements employed to assess class actions. Attendees were also given tips and tricks for reviewing and deciding on competing class actions, including a convenient check-list.
It was great to hear so many positive comments about our service proposition in the APAC region and globally.
One large Sydney-based superannuation fund commented: “Goal Group’s technology and outstanding service team make the securities class actions process far more efficient for our Operations team – from identifying and assessing relevant cases to participating and recovering entitlements.”
Many thanks to our clients for contributing their insights, and to Cameron Scott and Michaela Weston at Maurice Blackburn plus Bryan Gray, Brand Ambassador APAC here at Goal Group for organising such an engaging event.
We look forward to hosting similar events in the future.
